With many years of working within IT, I have gained experience within many market sectors from investment, corporate travel data, retail and data-driven design. I have built websites and developed software for countless clients in that time as well as supporting systems and IT infrastructures.

SSL Certification

One of my clients needed an SSL certificate installing. 

The first thing I did was to backup all files and databases for the website. I then installed the certificate of their choosing on the webserver and restarted the web services. 

Once this step was done, I tested the website and found that a few of the pages had non-secure references to http:// inistead of https:// so I edited the code in all pages to reference https:// instead of the non-secure references.

Once this was complete I run a final test of the site to make sure all pages are displaying correctly.

Moulin des Forges WIFI Installation

Installed WIFI network within a Gite Complex to enable consistent internet access across 5 buildings including installation of a WIFI Bridge to expand the network to external buildings. This includes secured guest WIFI and Administration network for business owners to keep secure separation of networks.

Troubleshooting slow website

Diagnosed and removed conflicting plugins inhibiting the performance of a website, Upgraded PHP software and enabled modules to enable the use of better caching software. Analysed GTMetrix and Yslow results to make changes to images and code to improve performance scores across the website.
